India Business Visa Online: Multiple Entries Valid for 365 Days
When traveling to India for business purposes, such as attending business meetings, trade fairs, or to fulfill service or maintenance contracts (e.g., for a machine sold to India), you will need the electronic India Business Visa (ETA). This visa is always issued for multiple entries and has a validity of one year from the date of issue. You are allowed to stay in the country for up to 180 consecutive days per entry.

The electronic India visa is available for most nationalities and is applied for entirely online. You do not need to surrender your passport for this process. Simply fill out the online application form on our website and upload the required documents as scans (JPG or PDF files). After verification by our staff, we will proceed with the registration with the Indian authorities on your behalf and send you the granted visa via email. The India E-visa is an A4-sized document containing your name, your photo, and a numeric code. Print this document (in color or black and white) and insert it into your passport. With this, you can board your flight to India and receive the visa stamp upon entry into your passport.
How to Apply for the Electronic India Business Visa:
- Fill out the online application form.
- Upload scans:
- Biometric passport photo with a white background.
- Main page (data page) of the passport.
- Invitation from India (in English).
- Your own business card.
- Convenient payment via credit card or bank transfer.
The ETA can be applied for a minimum of four months before the intended entry into India. You will receive the visa by email after the selected processing time.
Processing Times and Costs:
- Standard processing: 10-14 embassy days - £180,-
- Premium processing: 5-8 embassy days - £280,-
- Express processing: 2-4 embassy days - £430,-
Please note: Processing time only includes business days (Monday to Friday) when the respective visa office / embassy is open (i.e., not when closed due to holidays or public holidays).

The ETA cannot be extended or transferred and will expire if your passport expires before the end of the visa validity.
Entry via land routes is not possible with the electronic visa. Additional permissions must be obtained in India for visits to protected/restricted areas and cantonments. The maximum allowed duration of stay per calendar year is 180 days.
