Attention: This visa type is only for entry by airplane (and through the seaports of Chennai, Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, or Mumbai).
The Business-ETA allows business travelers to enter India for 365 days (for multiple entries, with a maximum stay of 180 days per entry). The visa can be applied for no earlier than 4 months before entry.
The Tourist-ETA is also issued for 1 year – for multiple entries with a stay of up to 90 days per entry. The visa can be applied for no earlier than 4 months before entry. Tourists also have the option to apply for a visa valid for 5 years.
If traveling for stationary medical treatment, a visa is granted for a total stay of 60 days (counted from the first entry) with a total of three entries within this period.
Applications can be made no earlier than 120 days before the first entry. If you are entering overland, visiting other seaports during a cruise other than Chennai, Cochin, Goa, Mangalore, or Mumbai, wish to stay for more than 90 consecutive days for private purposes, or are traveling for more than 90 days, you will need the conventional India visa.
The ETA costs £95.00 (e-Tourist 30 days, standard processing, including service fee and VAT).
Incomplete or incorrectly filled application documents may incur additional costs. We will inform you if necessary.
To apply for the ETA, in addition to the online application, you must provide us with three scans in PDF or JPG format:
- Passport (first page with photo only). The passport must be valid for 6 months upon entry into India and have two opposite free pages.
