Travellers from UK, Germany, Austria, Switzerland, and many other countries have been able to apply for an E-Visa, also known as Electronic Travel Authorization (ETA), for Vietnam since February 2017. The Vietnam ETA remains a pilot project. However, German nationals can stay in Vietnam without a visa for up to 15 days, while Austrians and Swiss must have a visa from the first day. The 15-day rule for UK will remain in effect until 30 June 2021. Only for trips exceeding this 15-day period will it be necessary to apply for an entry permit to this Southeast Asian country. We are happy to handle the E-Visa application with the Vietnamese government for you.
Validity: Printout of the valid ETA must be shown at the entry point along with the passport. As the entry permit is a printout, there is no need to surrender your passport during the visa application process.
