British citizens visiting Cuba for tourism need permission before travel. Check the current route with the Cuban Embassy or the official eVisa service.

Application and arrival steps

1. Check current FCDO travel advice before booking. FCDO currently advises against all but essential travel to Cuba.
2. Apply for the appropriate tourist visa. For an approved electronic visa, retain the ten-character visa code linked to your passport.
3. Enter that code when completing the DViajeros traveller form within 72 hours before entry. Save or print the resulting QR code for airline and border checks.
4. Carry proof of onward or return travel and the documents required for your itinerary.

Passport and travel documents

Your passport should remain valid for at least six months after arrival and three months after planned departure. Check the issuing authority’s full document requirements before applying.
