British citizens need a visa to visit Namibia. The visa requirement took effect on 1 April 2025.
Tourist visa routes
UK passport holders can apply for the visa-on-arrival route at a port of entry or submit an online application before travel. Check the official route and document list for your intended entry point.
Before you apply
- Your passport must be valid for at least six months after arrival and have at least three blank pages.
- Prepare the travel and accommodation evidence requested for your route.
- Work, volunteering and longer stays require the appropriate visa or permit; they are not covered by the tourist visa-on-arrival process.
Fees and permitted stay
Check the current official fee for each traveller. On arrival, verify the permitted stay and entry stamp; do not assume a visa-free allowance.
