British citizens need a visa to visit Nepal. An online visa-on-arrival submission is followed by visa collection and payment at the airport.
How to apply
- Complete the official online visa-on-arrival application up to 15 days before arrival.
- Keep the submission receipt and take it with your passport.
- Collect and pay for the visa at the airport. Carry cash as a backup to card payment; US dollars are preferred.
Alternative route
You can apply in advance and collect a tourist visa from a Nepalese embassy. Check the current stay options and fees for your route.
Before travel
Your passport should be valid for at least six months after entry. You may be asked for travel insurance and your first-night accommodation details.
