Planning a business trip to Egypt? The correct immigration route depends on the activities you will perform. The official Egypt eVisa portal currently describes its online visa as a tourism route, so a tourist eVisa must not be presented as permission for paid work.
Confirm the route before applying
Business meetings, conferences and company visits may require supporting evidence and an appropriate visa route. Paid employment requires the relevant permit and is not authorised by an eVisa.
We assess the trip purpose before directing you to an application. This page does not route business travellers into the tourist checkout.
Timing
Allow time for a route assessment and any consular process. Do not rely on a guaranteed expedited decision before the correct visa category has been confirmed.
Required Documents
- Passport biographical page; for eVisa eligibility the passport must be ordinary and valid for at least six months from arrival.
- Travel itinerary and accommodation details.
- Invitation or supporting letter explaining the business visit.
- Evidence of the traveller's role and the activities planned in Egypt.
