Kazakhstan entry routes for British travellers
British citizens may visit for tourism or business without a visa for up to 30 days per visit, with a maximum of 90 visa-free days in any 180-day period. Work, study, longer stays and other purposes require the appropriate permission.
Check the applicable visa or permit with the Kazakh Embassy before applying. British visa or residence applicants aged 17 and over must provide fingerprints.
Passport and arrival requirements
For visa-free entry, GOV.UK specifies a passport valid for at least 30 days after arrival with one blank page. Visa holders need passport validity extending at least three months beyond the visa expiry.
Your hotel or host must register your arrival within three working days. Confirm completion with them. Supporting documents depend on your route; a passport scan and photo alone are not a universal checklist.
