From December 1, 2023, to November 30, 2024, China will temporarily lift visa requirements for short stays of up to 15 days. Citizens from Germany, France, Italy, the Netherlands, Spain, and Malaysia will not need a visa for tourism, business, transit, or visits to friends and relatives. Visa applications will still be required for other nationalities and purposes.
According to a new regulation by the Chinese government dated August 8, 2023, until the end of the year, the following visa categories for single or double entry no longer require fingerprint submissions:
This means that all applicants can send their original documents without the need for a personal appearance. However, fingerprint submissions are still required for multiple entry visas or other visa categories.
