The Chinese Tourist Visa (L-Visa) for Stays up to 60 Days

The Tourist Visa is necessary if you want to explore China for leisure purposes. It is issued either for a single entry of up to 60 days or for two entries, each up to 30 days in duration. If you have booked a cruise involving more than two landings in China, a multiple-entry Tourist Visa may also be granted.

Required Documents
- Completed visa application (exclusively online since May 2019)
- Coloured biometric passport photo against a light background (approx. 1.4 × 1.8 inches)
- Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity and one blank page for the visa
- Booking confirmation for international flights entering and exiting China
- Hotel bookings for each day between entry and exit, including full address and traveller name
Validity and Duration
The China Tourist Visa allows entry into China for 90 days from the date of issuance. Upon entry, it is valid for a stay of 30 or 60 days. If the visa is for double or multiple entries, both entries must occur within 90 days of visa issuance.
