The Chinese Tourist Visa (L-Visa) for Tours in China Up to 60 Days
The Tourist Visa is necessary if you want to explore China for leisure purposes. It is issued either for a single entry of up to 60 days or for two entries, each up to 30 days in duration. If you have booked a cruise involving more than two landings in China, a multiple-entry Tourist Visa may also be granted.

Documents Required to Apply for the China Tourist Visa:
- Completed visa application (exclusively online since May 2019)
- Coloured, biometric passport photo against a light background (digitally inserted into the online form and optionally printed on photo paper, approx. 1.4 x 1.8 inches)
- Passport with at least 6 months of remaining validity and one blank page for the visa (two blank pages are necessary for double or multiple entries)
- Booking confirmation for the international flights used to enter and exit China
- Hotel bookings for each day between entry and exit, including the full hotel address and the name of the traveller. If applying for two people travelling together, only one name needs to be on the confirmation for the double room.
Validity and Duration of the China Tourist Visa:
The China Tourist Visa allows entry into China for 90 days from the date of issuance. Upon entry, it is valid for a stay of 30 or 60 days, depending on the terms of the visa. If the visa is for double or multiple entries, both entries must occur within 90 days of visa issuance.
