Business Visa
"Professional entry for UK business travellers"
Australia ETA for Business
The Australia ETA can cover limited business-visitor activities for eligible passport holders, but it is not a work visa.
- Make general business or employment enquiries.
- Investigate, negotiate, enter into or review a business contract.
- Attend a conference, trade fair or seminar when the organiser does not pay you to take part.
Activities the ETA does not permit
- Working for or providing services to an Australian business or organisation.
- Selling goods or services directly to the Australian public.
- Paid work for an Australian employer.
If the planned activity falls outside business-visitor rules, confirm another visa route before payment or application.
Eligibility and app requirements
The applicant must be outside Australia, hold an ETA-eligible passport and complete the official Australian ETA app process. The app scans the passport and NFC chip, takes a live facial image and verifies the applicant's email. An industry representative assisting through the app must have the applicant physically present.
No fixed decision promise
Many ETA outcomes are notified immediately, but the authority may need more information or additional verification. Do not rely on a fixed processing time or arrange business travel before the grant is confirmed in writing.
