Who Needs a Thailand Digital Arrival Card?

  • Introduced on 1 May 2025, the TDAC is Thailand's official online arrival declaration and replaces the paper TM6 form.
  • It is mandatory for most non-Thai nationals entering Thailand by air, land or sea. Children need their own TDAC, although a parent or guardian may submit it for them.
  • The TDAC is separate from your visa or visa exemption. Transit passengers who do not pass through immigration, and eligible crew members, are exempt.
  • A TDAC is an arrival declaration, not a visa. You must still meet Thailand's visa or visa-free entry rules.

Thailand Digital Arrival Card FAQs

Is the TDAC the same as a visa?

No. The TDAC is a separate entry declaration required in addition to any visa or visa-free entry. Having a visa does not remove the need to file a TDAC.

Is the official TDAC free?

Yes. The Thai Immigration Bureau does not charge for the TDAC. 1A Visa's £30 TDAC Assistance is an optional third-party service for preparing, checking and submitting the declaration on your behalf.

When should I submit it?

Submit your TDAC within three days before arrival, including your arrival date. If you use our assistance service, we schedule the submission within this official window.

What happens if I don't file a TDAC?

Complete your TDAC before reaching immigration. If you arrive without one, you may need to submit it before your entry can be processed.

Do I need a new TDAC for every trip?

Yes. A TDAC is valid for one entry. Submit a new declaration each time you travel to Thailand.

Can I still submit it myself for free?

Yes. Our assistance service is optional. You can submit the TDAC yourself, free of charge, on the official Thailand Digital Arrival Card website within three days before arrival.

If you would prefer us to handle the submission, add TDAC Assistance when applying for your Thailand visa. We use the travel details supplied with your application, submit the declaration at the appropriate time and send the confirmation before you travel.
