Short visits
If you hold a British passport, you may travel to Thailand visa-free for tourism for up to 30 days from 15 September 2026. Passport holders from many European countries and other eligible countries and territories can also use the scheme. Check the official Thai list before you travel to confirm whether your nationality is included.
The scheme is open to British passport holders and nationals of the other countries and territories included on Thailand's visa-exemption list.
Visa-free entry covers short tourist visits only. It does not permit work, study or business activities.
The maximum permitted stay under the visa-exemption scheme is 30 days.
