- ●If you have ongoing business ties with India, you will need to reapply each year
- ●Stays of 180 days or more require registration with the local FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office)
- ●e-Arrival Card required from 1 October 2025 — must be completed within 72 hours before each arrival, separate from your eVisa
- ●Once issued, an India eVisa cannot be extended, converted or amended
- ●Entry permitted at 31 designated airports and 5 designated seaports only — land border crossings are not permitted. Policies may change; please verify before travel.

The Business eVisa permits commercial activities such as meetings, conferences, trade fairs and technical contracts. The Tourist eVisa is for leisure, sightseeing and family visits only. If you attend any business meetings on a Tourist eVisa, your visa may be cancelled and you could face penalties.
No. India Business eVisas cannot be extended or converted once you are in India. If you need to stay longer or change visa category, you must leave the country and apply for a new visa before re-entering.
Yes. A formal invitation letter from your Indian host company is required. It must be on company letterhead and clearly state the purpose of your visit, travel dates and which party is covering expenses. The letter must be in English.
You must enter India through one of 31 designated international airports or 5 designated seaports. Entry at land borders is not permitted on a Business eVisa. You may exit India through any authorised immigration checkpoint. The full official list is maintained by the Indian government and may be updated — please check the latest entry policies before you travel.
Processing times depend on the service level you choose — Standard (8–10 business days), Premium (5–8 business days) or Express (3 business days). Times begin from the date your documents are confirmed complete and payment is received. We recommend applying at least 10 business days before travel.
