Note: Stays of 180 days or more require FRRO registration. Employed persons earning โ‰ฅ โ‚น16.5 lakh/year should apply for an Employment Visa instead.

Annual renewal required: The Business eVisa is available in a 1-year version only โ€” there is no 30-day short-stay option or 5-year long-term version. If you have ongoing business ties with India, you will need to reapply each year. Stays of 180 days or more require registration with the local FRRO (Foreigners Regional Registration Office).
e-Arrival Card required (from 1 October 2025): All travellers entering India must complete the mandatory e-Arrival Card within 72 hours before arrival. This is separate from your eVisa and must be done for every entry.
No extensions or changes: Once issued, an India eVisa cannot be extended, converted to another category, or amended. Entry is permitted at 28 designated airports and 5 designated sea ports only โ€” land border crossings are not permitted.
