Simple Online Application for UK Residents
For UK travellers, the electronic Indian visa (ETA) offers a practical and cost-effective alternative to the traditional application. No passport surrender required — simply upload a digital passport photo and a scan of your passport's photo page.
Required Documents by Visa Type
- General: Digital passport photo (white background) + colour scan of photo page.
- Business Visa: Invitation letter from India (English) + copy of your business card.
- Medical Visa: Hospital letter on official letterhead.
- Conference Visa: Organizer invitation + approval from Indian authorities.
- Processing Time: Varies by visa type and begins once all required documents are complete.
Your ETA visa will be sent to you via email after processing. Simply print this document and place it in your passport. Note that the ETA cannot be extended or transferred, and its validity ends with the expiration of your passport.
