Who needs a Journalist Visa?

Professional journalism, reporting, photography and filming are not permitted tourist eVisa activities. Media travellers should use the appropriate regular visa category.

  • A clearly defined media assignment and purpose of visit.
  • Media credentials and confirmation from the employer or commissioning organisation.
  • A passport with sufficient validity and compliant travel documentation.
  • Additional permissions for filming or access to sensitive locations where required.

  • Employer letter confirming the media assignment.
  • Press card or equivalent professional identification.
  • Travel plan, coverage locations and assignment dates.
  • Production brief and project statement for filming work.
  • Passport bio page and biometric photograph.
  • Any authority pre-clearance letters required for the project.
